Boro 5 v 1 Yeovil. OK it's only Yeovil, but I've seen us struggle against teams like this in the past. It's great to see The new boys grab a goal, with Digard (30yarder) and Emnes. Also Mido's now scored 3 in 3. I think Mido deserves a place in the Starting line up against Stoke, as I think Alves will struggle against their tactics, which will be like Sheff Utd last season, when they had 11 men in defence and kicked everything that moved. I think Mido would knock them about a bit and get stuck in, he is also better in the air, which we might need against a mass defence.

I've predicted that we're going to win a cup and it looks justified. Unlucky against L'pool but why wasn't Gerrard closed down?
Personally I'd go for Alves and Mido upfront with Tuncay stuck behind them. When Juninho played we had 2 strikers up front.

When we won The Carling Cup in 2004, my mate had just moved here, 8 months prior. he then moved back to Boro 2 years later. He has just moved back to Oz again last month, so I think he is our lucky omen   . Stranger things have happened. Great result and great to see Digard and Emnes open their account and also Mido Johnson and Ali getting a goal, It'll do their confidence the world of good

Paul - sorry to say this but when we had Juninho and played him in the whole we got relegated and won nowt. Plus what would the point of playing Downing if he wasn't on the wing - playing 3 in the middle means they have to be tight

Much better to keep to 4-4-2 - players know their jobs and we have width

I agree with earlier posting mido and alves together with tuncs behind would be well worth watching,   cup succsess? we can only hope so but lets face it apart from the usual top 4 its all the rest of us are playing for
