Hello to anyone out there. quick intro : Came to Oz in Nov '05 , straight to a place called Bright in NE victoria (anyone know it ?!?!) I'm a Pharmacist so if u need cheap drugs you know who to ask  ;)
So a couple of themes for my first post.
1. Watched Gareth talking on BBC Tees via bbc/sports page last night.He spoke for an hour ....... I think he is great. I love what he is doing ....... did anyone watch it ?
2. I've finally given up with the fmttm message board , its so aggressive and negative. I know this board doesn't get the volume of posts but at least it seems positive. Must be the positive Aussie thing happening , those grey skies and dragging the "Motherlanders" down  
3. I feel more excited about this season than anyother season during my 30 years of following the boro...... come on the boys , lets surprise the league with attractive , pacey football.
4. My lady has said if we get Austar she won't have sex with me again. This is a fairly serious situation. Any thoughts ?
Does anyone have any idea's for watching the Boro online live or highlights ?

Told my wife that if we didn't get foxtel we'd have to go back to England! That sorted that out.

Jono - How did you end up in NE Victoria??!!

If your wife's anything like mine you can sell the Foxtel thing to her by telling her about all the crappy daytime Days of our Lives / Oprah bolloxs that they also show. It's a small price to pay  - I think  

I'm also more optimistic than usual about this season but would be happier if we could sign another for midfield and a more experienced keeper before the season starts.

Just checked out that interview with Gareth and am feeling more reassured on the keeper front.

How NE VIctoria - it's a long story - love it here though , great skiing at the moment.
Don't want to risk the going back to England threat , she still talks about Marks and Sparks and Tesco's Custard Cream's with too much affection.

Welcome on Board Jono. I know what you mean about FMTTM, as soon as you post a thread, there's always someone wanting to rip you to shreads. I think we are a happier bunch because we live in Paradise, I was back in not so sunny Boro a month ago, after a week my kids wanted to come home(Brizzy). I think we could shock a few fans and pundits this season with our pacey slick passing game. And unlike some teams we won't have to wait while 5 or 6 new signings settle in and get used to the Pace of English football. With a fitter Alves as well as Tuncay with a full season under his belt and Shawkey, with that English Experience, things are looking good and the 2 new young exciting signings look good. Tell her she can watch all of the Lifestyle channels as well as Eastenders and Coronation St. If you log onto http://www.roosroosroos.com.au/ there are a few links on the right hand side where you can watch live footy online and highlights.

2 skiing - just ask away. we are near Falls Creek and Hotham , fairly expensive up there but various tricks to keep the cost down. Have you lot seen a frost yet in Australia ? , minus 2 here this morning , kids moaning as we biked to school !!
